Every October, the US celebrates Manufacturing Day (MFG DAY) to address misconceptions regarding the manufacturing industry in America. Started in 2012, MFG DAY supports changing public perception of manufacturing to help address the current skilled labor shortage our country faces.
Different small business associations around San Diego celebrated MFG DAY this week by inviting students and community members to meet local manufacturers. By meeting face to face with their future labor force, manufacturers can provide truthful information about the industry and connect with future generations.
Yolanda represented Primary Funding at the East County Economic Development Council Expo for MFG DAY. Primary Funding received state and federal recognition for our participation in this event. We are always happy to be out in the community to share information about small business ownership.
