Homeless Youth in America
Did you know San Diego’s population of homeless students is over 23,000? Nationally, there are 1.2million homeless youth. These children are at risk of becoming the next generation of homeless adults unless someone steps in to help.
The Monarch School
The Monarch School of San Diego does just that for homeless children! Founded in 1987, The Monarch School serves San Diego’s homeless students with comprehensive educational resources for grades K-12.
Monarch not only provides a safe, stable learning environment, but teaches children emotional coping skills and long-term life skills and planning.
Back to School Drive
Primary Funding is teaming up with Monarch School this month to collect school supplies as kids head back to class. We will be collecting donations of new, unused school supplies until August 20.
From backpacks to binders, staples to scissors, every item is valuable! Give us a ring if you’d like to donate or drop off any items!
