There’s nothing more frustrating than calling customer service and hearing a recording say, “Press 1 for this problem. Press 2 for that problem.” Why don’t they ever say, “Press 1 to speak with an actual HUMAN BEING!”?
One of the things that separates Primary Funding from our competition is that every single client gets a designated Account Manager.
Chris Ramos is one of our Account Managers and he’s also an actual human being.
Hi Chris! So, tell us, what is the most challenging part of your job?
Hmm. Well, there’s a couple parts that always present challenges. First, is the juggling of the clients in our portfolios. Answering emails and phone calls in a timely manner. I think another challenge is making sure that all clients get the same level of service, whether they’re our biggest client or one of our smaller ones. Personally, I know my personality can be, let’s say, a bit quirky. And so, when clients do reach out to us, I need to make sure, within myself, that I’m representing Primary Funding to the best of my ability. I try to put myself into my client’s shoes. Whether it’s a sole proprietor or a larger company, it’s someone’s business. It’s their life blood. It’s their baby. And for me, I want to make sure that I’m doing whatever I can to promote that, and help their success. I do my best to try to adapt my personality to best fit with my clients. I know, ultimately, the better I’m able to assist them, the greater their success will be. And that translates to the success of Primary Funding too.
Okay, let’s have some fun. You’re going to a deserted island and you get to bring your 3 favorite movies and 3 favorite albums. What are they?
That’s easy. Favorite movies: Cool Runnings, Transformers (the first one), Remember the Titans. Albums (also easy) #1 Cake “Prolonging the Magic.” #2 Aloe Blacc “Lift your Spirits.” #3 De La Soul “The Grind Date.”
Do you have any phobias?
Oh yeah! None of which are all that abnormal, I don’t think. But, still not a fan of them. Heights – nope I’ll pass! Spiders, snakes, and scorpions (and most creepy crawlers – Don’t like ‘em, don’t need ‘em, don’t want ‘em close to me. I’ve got no reason to have them around me. I’m also not the biggest fan of small, cramped, confined spaces so… what is that called? Claustrophobia? Something like that. Yeah, I can pass on that too. You’ll never find me on a submarine. Nope, I’ll pass.
Who are your idols?
Does Chewbacca count? That’s my idol. Everyone likes him or her, always seems to be in the right place at the right time, with the right answers. Has a light saber crossbow. That’s rad! Tall. All positive things. No negatives. Super strong – again a positive. Yes, I think the Wookiee is my idol.
Pick one… Dog or Cat?
Or.
What is the one take-out food you could never get sick of?
Chipotle. Yeah, that’s my jam! I guess now everything is take out, so Chipotle or Thai. I could have those most days and not be mad at my life. I honestly don’t know of a time when I have said no to either of those, I think its usually people tell me no. I don’t hold a grudge against them for their poor food choices.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
That’s tough. I love the outdoors. I feel like Yosemite is the prettiest place in the world, but I just got back from Glacier and its was pretty amazing. Just great looking views at every angle and corner. Love both of those places a lot, some of the pretties natural landscapes ever. New Zealand was a beautiful country and had great surf while I was there so that trip is pretty high on my list of favorites. Australia was also really really cool. Shoot, I don’t know that i have a favorite. If I had to go back to one place that I have went to I would say I guess maybe Italy. I didn’t get to the coast line there and I know there is some surf spots there, plus the Tuscan area has some of my favorite wines so I’d love to get to that area. Yeah I guess if I had to absolutely pick I would go back to Italy for a bit.
