It was early in 2017, when Aaron Woitas was hungry for a change. He’d been working in technology sales for 4 to 5 years. Although he liked what he did, he needed a new challenge. He’d always thought about starting his own business, but like many new business owners, he didn’t know where to start. Naturally, of course, step one was speaking to his wife, Carmen, and then to his family. After their encouraging words and affirmations of his goals, Aaron and Carmen opened their new business, Total Network Technologies, in May of 2017.
TNT is a technology sales organization that pairs the end-user’s needs with an appropriate supplier’s products. They work within the space of an open market supplier system. TNT has strong relationships within the industry that allows them to source technology products quickly and reliably. TNT specializes in, not only being a reliable resource for highly sought after products, but also as an alternative source for domestic distribution. Early on, it was hard for the business to find its footing. “We used this initial time to build a solid foundation for the company,” Aaron said. “I reached out to PayPal and set up a credit card processing system. The next step was getting orders, and eventually, things started to line up,” he added.
When the first order found its way into TNT’s inbox, there was a slight problem. “The order was there, the relationship was solid, the business was ready to move,” Aaron said, “But the only thing missing was a capital injection.” Thankfully, Aaron’s brother-in-law had made an off the cuff remark, “Maybe Primary Funding could be a resource? If they can’t provide capital, maybe they know someone who can?” As fate would have it, Primary Funding approved TNT’s request for capital and the relationship began.
Relationships are a key ingredient in any industry, and TNT understands that. Making sure their customers are happy is of the utmost importance to them. As their business ebbed and flowed, there were times when TNT needed Primary Funding’s help with cash flow. Other times, they managed on their own. “Primary Funding’s flexibility was a huge benefit for us,” Carmen noted. “We weren’t locked into any contract. If we needed to utilize Primary Funding’s services, we could. If we didn’t have to, there wasn’t a penalty,” she said. “Primary Funding has always been there to support us. It’s really become a true partnership.”
What started as an off the cuff comment by Aaron’s brother-in-law has turned into a great partnership that has lasted over four years, and is still going strong!
