This is an exciting year for Primary Funding as we are celebrating our 25th year in business! It has been an amazing quarter-century with strong growth, many accomplishments and lots of lessons learned. As a company, and as individuals, we continue to improve. This milestone is a testament to three things.
First, it is a reflection on our founder Patricia Burns. Pat had a vision 25 years ago to start a finance company that supports the growth of small businesses in San Diego and throughout California. She accomplished that by building a company with a great reputation for treating people right. A company that cares about its clients, referral sources, employees and community. Unfortunately, in October 2012 Pat suffered a massive stroke and has not been able to work since. That is when I left the traditional banking world in order to come over and run the family business (I’m Pat’s son-in-law). I feel very fortunate to have come to a company that carries a legacy like the one that Pat left.
Secondarily, our milestone is a testament to you. We clearly would not be here without the support of our friends, clients and referral sources. In many cases these are all the same person. We appreciate and value our relationships and the trust that you put in us. We strive to learn and grow every day and we hope to continue to earn your business and referrals in 2020 and beyond.
Finally, I would like to thank the Primary Funding team. We all know that a company is defined by its people. The PFC team is made up of a group of individuals that care about each other and care about doing the right thing for PFC and our clients. I feel very fortunate to have the team we have and I look forward to continuing to build PFC into the future with them.
